EVOLVING PATTERNS OF CONFIGURATION

My work is inspirated by deconstructivism.  Visually recognizable and predictable patterns consisting out elements of line, shape, color and texture are deconstructed in strive for stylistic and methodical freedom. It’s irregularity, progress and transformation that I’m interested about.

Immoral, licentious, anarchical, unscientific ... those ancient days of the Color Revolt were the glorious childhood of Art

I graduated at Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 2008. My work is intuitive, optimistic, experimental  and playful. In todays visual culture there’s a constant flux of images that easily leads to deterministic chaos in sensitive systems. In my studio I experimented a lot and explored the friction and play of my work with known and unknown style aspects, color grids, personalized visual elements that flood the mind and from which I tried to go my own way in search of a new reality.

It fills all Space, and what It fills, It is.

The playful, the irregular, the  poetic and the manual: The wings of a butterfly create tiny changes in the atmosphere that may ultimately alter the path of a tornado, floating between order and chaos.

..Ah, the happiness of Being!

I hope you enjoy the work!
